주차장에서부터 용문사 대웅전까지 이어지는 산책로는 약 1.5km.
산책로가 완만해서 남녀노소 누구나 걷기 좋아요.
옆으로는 계곡이 흐르고 산책로 바로 옆으로도 작은 물길이 있어 흐르는 물 소리가 아주 상쾌하답니다.

용문사 대웅전 앞에 들어서면 단연 시선을 사로잡는 것은 대한민국 천연기념물 제 30호로 지정된 천년은행나무랍니다.
수령 약 1100년으로 추정되는 이 나무는 높이가 무려 42m에 달해 대한민국에서 가장 큰 은행나무로 알려져 있는데요. 긴 세월이 무색할 만큼 지금도 매년 은행 수확량이 약 350kg에 달하는 굳건한 결실을 맺고 있어요.
